Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.  Matthew 25:40

Prayer Shawl Ministry
  • Several people from our church helped build the new playground at Wakarusa Elementary School in April 2017!
  • Wakarusa Nursery School is housed in our church. Find out more about our classes by clicking here
  • We currently sponsor giving projects to Wakarusa Elementary and NorthWood Middle Schools. Volunteers read at the elementary school.
  • We occasionally participate in Habitat for Humanity builds in Elkhart County (see photo above)
  • We host a local Boy Scout Troop and a Cub Scout Troop in our church
  • We regular sponsor food collections for both Open Door and Family Christian Development Center food pantries
  • Annual Conference Mission Project 2017--backpacks for the homeless in each district of the Indiana UMC. Together the conference collected more than 900 backpacks.
  • Over the past six years we've taken a yearly mission trip to Lower Beech Fork, KY. See photos from our 2016 here.
  • We use funds raised by our famous Sausage Sandwiches to support ministries such as Habit for Humanity of Elkhart County, Broadway Christian Parish, Susannah's Kitchen and many others (click here to learn more about this giving)
Our prayer shawl ministry weaves prayers into shawls as they are made. Please let us know if you
  • would like to make a prayer shawl (instructions & yarn provided)
  • would like to give a prayer shawl to someone
