![]() What's inside your box? Mark Mikel started his message by sharing some of the things he carries in a box--griefs, disappointments, losses. We all seem to have at least a few things about ourselves that we aren't eager for other people to know. Mark reminded us that God knows about these things--and loves us anyway. Like the Samaritan woman at the well in John chapter 4, Jesus will seek each of us out, ask us to do him a favor, and listen to our story. Although Jesus loves us warts and all, he challenges us to be transformed through a relationship with him. And once our lives have been transformed, Jesus allows us to be agents of transformation for others. We can help others know and become who they are in Christ. She said to the people, “Come and see a man who has told me everything I’ve done! Could this man be the Christ?” John 4:28-29 (CEB) |
